We can Rejuvenate Your Skin with the Revolutionary Quanta Q-Plus EVO series
Did you know your skin is the largest organ in your body? Your skin accounts for 15-20% of your total weight. As the largest organ and one that everyone can see, you need to keep your skin fresh and glowing. While numerous home remedies keep your skin refreshed, sometimes you need help. United Medical And Aesthetics in Wilmington, North Carolina, uses scientifically proven techniques and the latest technologies to up your skincare game.
Speaking of technology, we recently acquired the all-new Quanta Q-Plus EVO series — a new laser machine with a unique ability to offer different treatments, including skin resurfacing, pigmented lesions, and vascular lesions. What’s not to love about this new laser platform? Want to try it? Please book an appointment today with Aleta Sloan, PA-C.
What makes the Quanta Q-Plus EVO series unique?
This versatile laser platform has six configurations available to accommodate various user requirements. Additionally, this machine offers a distinct advantage as it doesn’t require expensive dye hand-pieces.
The other unique features of the Q-Plus EVO Series include the following:
Q-switch active laser
This platform boasts an active Q-switch laser that offers great versatility and power. Many systems in the market only have a passive Q-switch, which is not potent enough to deliver short pulses optimal for removing lesions.
The Q-switch generates a photoacoustic effect, breaking ink and color into granules while keeping the healthy tissue intact. The broken-down fragments are then removed from your skin through phagocytosis.
Flat beam Optibeam II technology
The Quanta Q-plus platform uses a patented, hand-held device that conveys a high-peak-power, homogeneous beam. The Quanta Q-Plus EVO series delivers a flat-top beam to ensure the skin doesn’t get hot points. This unique ability to deliver homogenous flat beams is out of reach of low-cost lasers and even some of the most expensive machines in the market.
As this exceptional laser is not commonly found in most medical spas, we consider it a privilege to offer it to you. Please schedule an appointment with our office to see how this laser addresses pigmentation and hard-to-treat melasma on all skin types without downtime.
The many uses of the Q-Plus EVO series
This laser platform is the ultimate laser with the best choice. Aleta Sloan has harnessed the power of this versatile machine to address numerous dermatological issues, including:
- Removing pigmented lesions
- Skin resurfacing
- Addressing inflammatory acne
- Facial skin treatment
- Vascular lesion removal
- Addressing scars
- Treating wrinkles
The Q-plus Evo series stands out due to its versatility in treating various skin conditions, thanks to its three different wavelengths. The Pulse Dye laser, with a 532 nm wavelength, targets blood, melanin, red tattoo ink, superficial vascular, and pigments in the skin. The Ruby laser, operating at 694 nm, targets melanin, blood, pigmented lesions, black, green, and even the notoriously difficult-to-treat blue ink. Lastly, the 1064 Nd: YAG laser can reach deeper skin layers, making it a powerful tool for rejuvenation.
Unveiling the Secret to Flawless Skin: Melasma Solutions in Wilmington, NC
Welcome! Today, we’re tackling melasma—brown patches on the face, affecting mostly women. Here’s how to prevent and treat it in just 4 weeks.
Sun protection is crucial. Use a tinted, broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 35.
Vitamin C suppresses the enzyme that worsens pigment. Include it in your routine.
Use pigment faders like hydroquinone, azelaic acid, and retinols to lighten dark spots.
Consider Q-switch lasers for effective, non-thermal pigmentation improvement.
Combine these treatments for optimal results. Consult your provider for a tailored approach.

Carbon laser facial treatment
Although the Q-plus Evo series platform has many uses, Aleta mostly uses it to safely treat darker skin tones (Fitzpatrick scale IV-VI) with difficult melasma, pigmented lesions, and sun damage. Her favorite treatment is carbon laser facial — a fast and painless procedure to reduce the appearance of marks, imperfections, and wrinkles and boost the firmness of your skin. This treatment is highly beneficial for patients with oily skin, enlarged pores, dark skin, age spots, and acne.
The carbon laser facial is a two-stage process. Before the treatment, we cleanse your skin by applying liquid carbon to penetrate deep into the pores. As the carbon dries, it attaches itself to dirt, dead skin, and oil on the skin’s surface. Once the carbon is dry, we apply a laser, which vaporizes the carbon particles. You may hear a “loud” noise as the vaporization occurs, but this shouldn’t worry you. It’s normal as the heat from the laser is pulsed deep into the skin to generate healing, rejuvenation, and exfoliating effects on your skin.
Although the carbon facial treatment lasts only 30 to 45 minutes, its long-lasting effects are highly appreciated. Immediate results are noticeable right after the treatment. However, we recommend three to six follow-up sessions within two to three months to achieve optimal results. Patients generally love the carbon laser facial because of its painless and quick nature. Furthermore, the aftercare procedure is straightforward, with the only requirements being sun protection and avoiding swimming, hot water, and saunas.
